How do renewable resources and nonrenewable resources differ? Renewable resources can be replenished over relatively short time spans such as months, years, or decades, whereas nonrenewable resources continue to be formed in Earth, but the processes that create them are so slow that significant deposits take millions of years to accumulate. Renewable resources can be replenished over relatively short time spans such as months, years, or decades, whereas nonrenewable resources can never be replenished. Renewable resources can be replenished by humans, whereas nonrenewable can only be replenished by nature. Renewable resources only provide energy, whereas nonrenewable resources only provide materials.
