Explanation:

The divorce rate in America could be tracked into lacked of communication between couple.

Most of the people see marriage as some sort of thing that we just do without any valid reason, and this lead to a serious problems in their life.

For example, Many people sacrifice their career in order to get married.  This create a lot of occurrences when either of the partner became unsatisfied of their life accomplishment and resented their partner for it. Some people got divorced because they kept a built up resentment toward their partner from the conflicts that occurred but never really addressed.

To solve these problems, Couples need to ensure that they need to communicate beforehand regarding what their life goals was and whether the marriage will prevent them from doing so. They also need to communicate everytime their partner did something that displease them, so the conflict will be handled properly before it build up into bigger emotional distress.
