Beginning with the Jews who migrated to the United States due to religious persecution, a number of ethnically diverse Europeans including Hispanics, Italians, Irish, Scandanavians, Germans etc migrated to the United States. At the same time, there were immigrants from Africa and Asian countries too.  

Initially, the European immigrants were thought to follow separate religion, culturally inferior, impose inferior biological characters, and lower the modern American civilization.

However, when they followed the same religion, were of the same color, brought properties in America and mingled in the American neighborhood, joined their children in American schools, and also committed racism against the Blacks just like how the Americans did at those times.
