If a satellite or spaceship explodes in outer space, you can see the explosion from a distance, but you cannot hear it. Why?

Sound needs a medium to travel through. On Earth, that medium is usually the air. However, in space, there is no atmosphere or air for sound to travel through. That is why you cannot hear anything in space. However, light is an electromagnetic wave. This means that it travels on its own without needing a medium to travel through. These reasons are why you can see in space, but cannot hear.
