Intelligence test should not be the only means to gauge admission into gifted and talented classes, colleges, and Jobs. Because some people are SMART but not intelligent, while some are intelligent but not smart. Therefore using Intelligence test is making a biased selection, to select only the intelligent once.

From the sordid history of intelligence, i don't believe intelligence has a relationship with the development of a state, for instance the Chinese were never seen as intelligent people, but the rate in which their country became developed over time was more than the rate Americans and Europe became developed.
Their is always a different between SMARTNESS and INTELLIGENCE, but it is very unfortunate that we have misused this two words, that we don't want to recall the significant difference between the two. Smartness is ones ability to perform in a given task, while intelligence is once ability to judge and analyse a given task. What the world needs today is performance and not just analysis, we have analysed so many things that only few has been performed. China grew very fast because the performance rate of Chinese in Technology and softwares are very high, when compared to many other countries.
Using intelligence test for selection, will only produce a biased result, because the smart ones will be denied an opportunity. IQ test only shows the ability for someone to analyse a question and give an incredible answer. The most rated social media platforms is owned by someone whom ever went to college to produce them, but because he was smart, his ability showed up.
Jobs should be divided into two category in every firm; The smart and the intelligent part. The intelligent aspect should be the part that think out solution to problems in the company, while the smart aspect should be the performance part that moves the company to growth. IQ test can be applicable for jobs in the intelligent part, but the smart part should be given a performance test which will determine their job task. The same should be applicable in college, the school curriculum should be drawn to accommodate both the smart and intelligent people in equality.
