Trench warfare is used from ancient times. It is a series of ditches that were dug on the ground which would enable the soldiers to hide and attack the enemy.

The parapets or the fronts of the trenches were dug ten feet deep and usually sandbags were kept outlining the trenches so that it provides a better place to position the snipers and attack the enemy.
