Although cold medicine stimulants can have active substances which help reduce different types of pain such as muscle aches and to improve your performance it is not healthy or good for you in a long term.

Muscle aches which are a signal of alert that helps your body known when to stop and recover, are important for you to known your own limits and avoid hurting your systems the abuse of these drugs to shorten the pain may have consequences such as muscle strain or ligament rupture, which will bring in long time to degenerate your muscular and osseous system and will take you of  from performances and competences.

As well these stimulant drugs can have consequences in in other systems of your body such as nervous and cardiac systems it may bring consequences such as increased blood pressure, increase on breathing frequency, raising of sugar levels on blood and diminishing blood circulation.  It also can bring you suddenly to dead by overdoses.

In the other hand as well is important to remind you that as an athlete you may be selected for drug testing and that these practices such as taking drugs or stimulants to improve performance are hardly penalized by the NCAA which conducts testing and makes year rounds on campus in divisions 1 and 2 If you get caught using these stimulants you will be banned and penalized by losing 1 year of eligibility (as well as the 25 per cent of your total eligibility) and you will be withheld by a period of 365 days from the date of the test. As well if you are selected to be tested and you fail to the test it will be counted as if you were positive on the results and it will bring NCAA sanctions.
