The feudalism system was destroyed following the deaths of black people in multitudes. This created a high demand for labor and the lords didn't have much hold over the peasant who left to find high wages jobs.  

The peasant now had some sort of freedom to choose their place of employment. Since, the lords slaved people mainly in the field or land, after the death of black people, the land was left desolate with not many laborers.

trade was the key for muslims economies to prosper. their commerce routes reached far places like malaysia and java in the 11th century.
