Most people believe (and I was among those) that South American is all warmth.  It's not.

Why?  Because of the Andes mountains.  When you're in the mountains of Colombia, Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia, Chile, Argentina you can be very high and it gets pretty cold, below-zero is very common even during the day.  For example, the capital of Chile, Quito, is at 3,000 m (10K feet), and the capital of Bolivia is at 4,000 m (14K feet).  Also, in Patagonia, in the South of Chile and Argentina, you'll find massive glaciers fields.

i disagree that there is little difference between adult female development and adult male development. sociological studies comparing female and male pathways to adulthood, revelead that there are sustancial differences between them. particularly, female and male differ from timing of marriage, when they began to live with children and the likelihood of combining wife/husband and parent roles.
