The Aleut, Inuit, and Yupik people make up the “Eskimos” that inhabit the regions of Canada, the United States (Alaska), Russia, and Denmark. Their society, way of life, and economy greatly rely on the marine mammals that inhabit their area, including seals. The Arctic peoples used seal for food meat and for its blubber/skin to create harpoons, tools and utensils, boats, tents, fuel/lights, and clothes.
