Despite the fact that for many americans, e-books are an increasingly popular way to enjoy fact and fiction in the form of the printed word, it was not always this way. sociology often draws on the "sociological imagination," a term coined by c. wright mills in the 1950s to explore the nature of change in society. in the mid-1400s, the printing press had a powerful effect on society and initiated major social changes. how might we use our sociological imagination to begin a study of that change?

We can use our sociological imagination to begin a study of that change by first trying to step away from familiar routines of daily life as doing so and entering the unknown realm of change will enable us to see a lot of different paths and possibilities that may not be seen when we continue to tread the path of our familiar routines.

apart from being against desegregation, governor of georgia eugene talmadge opposed as well to the work progress administration, an ambitious program of the "new deal" created by president franklin d. roosevelt to overcome the great depression after world war i. talmadge disagreed with welfare spending, job training and organized labor. according to his ideas, he thought the government was spending too much money on this, and he wasn't willing to accept a wage higher than georgia's lower average wage. besides, talmadge strongly opposed to the "new deal" as he thought it had communist ideas.
