Why do think we form relationship with other people

There are some people who form relationships because they want the feeling of being included/accepted.

Some people do it for a need of affection. You want to be liked by other so you do everything you can to for a relationship with a peer.

Some people also form relationships due to similarity which is good.

Some people are friends with others for fame/money etc.

Unfortunately depending on the reason you are looking for a friend you should really be careful because some people take advanatage.

I believe the answer you are looking for is:

"Every day we form a relationship whether it’s family, friendship or romantic relationship.

But when we try to ask “Why do we form a relationship with other people?”, we could not directly provide an answer but pause and think , “Why is that so?”

For me, it is simply because of the basic needs we have EMOTIONALLY.

Now what are these needs?

CALL TO BELONG- Human as we are, we have this nature which is the need to be accepted, to be involved and to be valued. We wanted to matter in other people and bring impact to their lives. If we don’t feel involved, we often think that there is something wrong either with us or with them.

CALL TO POWER/AUTHORITY- In a relationship, we often observe that in decision making, we see the power of CONSIDERATION. We wanted to have RIGHT to speak our side and be considered before anything. This need is the common cause why some relationship does not really work that well.

CALL TO LOVE- Above everything, we have this need to be loved and to love. We could not just demand this to anyone, however you would show this to someone in your circle; whether a family, a friend or a lover, you’ll experience it and at the same time give it to them in return.

These are the only things I can think of why do we form a relationship to others. Because we see that we belong to them, we have the right in their lives, and we feel LOVE from them that neither we see it in ourselves.
