In the collision model it is assumed that reactions occur as a result of collisions between molecules with the correct kinetic energy and orientation. The minimum energy required for a reaction to occur when molecules collide is called the activation energy, Ea. The number of collisions that are favorably oriented for a reaction is described by the frequency factor, A. The Arrhenius equation relates both of these factors to the rate constant, k: k=A⋅e−Ea/(R⋅T)
where R=8.314 J/(mol⋅K) and T is the temperature in kelvins.
Based on the activation energies and frequency factors, rank the following reactions from fastest to slowest reaction rate, assuming they are all at the same temperature and that each starts with the same initial concentration.
Rank from fastest to slowest reaction rate. To rank items as equivalent, overlap them.
i. Ea=50 kJ/mol
A=1.5×10−7 s−1
ii. Ea=350 kJ/mol
A=1.5×10−7 s−1
iii. Ea=50 kJ/mol
A=1.9×10−7 s−1

Waves are used in many practical applications to support work, entertainment, and health. one example is the use of ultrasound imaging to safely track the development of a growing fetus. what is a specific example of a practical application of waves in medicine, entertainment, safety, or other fields? provide a brief explanation of how the properties of waves are useful to that application.

Suppose water is leaking from a tank through a circular hole of area ah at its bottom. when water leaks through a hole, friction and contraction of the stream near the hole reduce the volume of water leaving the tank per second to cah 2gh , where c (0 < c < 1) is an empirical constant. a tank in the form of a right-circular cone standing on end, vertex down, is leaking water through a circular hole in its bottom. (assume the removed apex of the cone is of negligible height and volume.) (a) suppose the tank is 20 feet high and has radius 8 feet and the circular hole has radius 2 inches. the differential equation governing the height h in feet of water leaking from a tank after t seconds is dh dt = − 5 6h3/2 . if the height of the water is initially 8 feet, how long will it take the tank to empty? (round your answer to two decimal places.)
