A car is going to camp site. It travels a 5 km distance east of home (from point A to point B) in 30 minutes to reach the first stopover. It then travels north for another 3 km and reaches the camp (from point B to point C) after 20 minutes. During the camping, the campers find out that their home is just 5.83 km away from the camp site (from point C to point A) if they reroute. In the afternoon, the car leaves the camp and reroutes to the southwest direction to be home before dinner. 1. What is the total distance covered by the athlete? 2. What is the total displacement covered by the athlete? 3. When do the distance and the magnitude of displacement of the athlete become equal? 4. When does the total displacement of the athlete become zero?
