In this project, you will develop a model of two objects interacting through electric fields. The model must show the relationships between the objects that make up the system, such as the forces between them and any changes in the energy of the objects due to their interaction. Your model should also show that if the objects change their relative positions, the energy stored in the fields changes. Background
Charged particles exert forces on one another. Particles with like charges repel each other, and particles with opposite charges attract each other. This repulsion or attraction can be described as the electric force. Coulomb's law describes the force between charged particles. It states that the electric force between two particles is proportional to the product of the magnitudes of their charges (q1 and q2) and inversely proportional to the square of the distance between them (r):
Fe = kq1q2/r2
