A small EM-wave source (i. e. a small collection of charges which is vibrating in simple harmonic motion having a known frequency) radiates an electromagnetic wave into the vacuum of space itself. Of course, the electromagnetic wave consists of blocks of magnetic and electric fields which are leaving the vibrating source; these blocks of electric and magnetic fields leave the source in all possible directions (Le nothing has been done by the designers of the source to form the wave into a tight beam). As the wave moves away from the source determine what happens to each of the following: (a) the frequency of the electromagnetic wave
i. increases
ii. decreases
iii. remains constant
(b) the intensity of the electromagnetic wave increase decreases remains constant
Give your reasoning as briefly as possible.

The energy released by a chemical reaction can be measured using a calorimeter. when barium hydroxide octahydrate crystals are reacted with dry ammonium chloride inside of a coffee cup calorimeter, the temperature of the 18.00 g of water in the calorimeter decreases from 30.0°c to 8.0°c. the equation for calculating energy absorbed or released by a reaction is: where q is the energy released or absorbed, m is the mass of water in the calorimeter, cp is the specific heat of water, and δt is the observed temperature change. if the specific heat of liquid water is 4.19 j/g·°c, how much energy was absorbed by the reaction?
