An electrical discharge excites the He atom from its ground state (arbitrarily assigned the energy E1 = 0) to its excited state of 20.61 eV. The excited He atom collides with a Ne atom in its ground state and excites this atom to the state at 20.66eV. Neon atoms make a variety of downward transitions in falling from the E4* down eventually to level E1. This laser can produce a green or a red laser beam. From the data in the figure, (a) what is the wavelength of the red He–Ne laserlight? And (b) If the green light has a wavelength of 543 nm, what is the energy E2?

4r-134a enters the condenser of a residential heat pump at 800 kpa and 50°c at a rate of 0.022 kg/s and leaves at 750 kpa subcooled by 3°c. the refrigerant enters the compressor at 200 kpa superheated by 4°c determine (a) the isentropic efficiency of the compressor, (b) the rate of heat supplied to the heated room, and (c) the cop of the heat pump. also, determine (d) the cop and rate of heat supplied to the heated room if this heat pump operated on the ideal vapor-compression cycle between the pressure limits of 200 and 800 kpa.
