They are lightweight yet strong and hard, and serve multiple functions. Bone tissue (osseous tissue) is a hard tissue, a type of specialized connective tissue. It has a honeycomb-like matrix internally, which helps to give the bone rigidity. Bone tissue is made up of different types of bone cells.

2) Joints are functional junctions between two or more bones. Joints bind the skeleton together, to give structure and allow muscles to move bones to perform certain tasks such as running, reaching and grasping. There are many types of joints the most common of which are synovial joints

3) A joint is a point where two or more bones meet. There are three main types of joints; Fibrous (immovable), Cartilaginous (partially moveable) and the Synovial (freely moveable) joint.

4) A ligament is a fibrous connective tissue which attaches bone to bone, and usually serves to hold structures together and keep them stable.
