So what my teacher has taught me that me a lot is to make a suvat table, which goes like
s(distance-m) - unknown
u(initial velocity-m/s) - 0m/s, we know this because it says it started from rest.
v(final velocity-m/s) - 10m/s, it states 10m/s as the final velocity
a(acceleration-m/s^2) - unknown
t(time-s) - 4 seconds, as stated
now, with this information, we can use one of the following equations to
v=u+at
v^2=u^2+2as
s=ut+(1/2)at^2
with the of these equations, we can solve basically any suvat problem. with the information we have, to find acceleration, it would be best to use the first equation to solve the problem.
