A factory replaces two sets of gears in a machine so the gears in each set were touching. Each set has two gears, so there are four gears altogether. In Set A, both gears are the same size. In Set B, the top gear is the same size as the gears in Set A, but the bottom gear is larger than the other three. The diagram above shows the energy of the molecules of the gears before they touched. After a while, which of the two bottom gears will be cooler, and why?
