Move your cannon back to ground height, and set the initial speed back to 18 m/s and the launch angle to 65o. Place the target so that it is at a horizontal distance of 19 m from the cannon and a vertical distance of 8 m above the x-axis. Without actually firing the cannon, determine whether or not the projectile will clear the target (that is, go above it) or whether it will fall short (that is, wind up below it). Show all your work below. Once you've got a guess, fire it and see if you were correct.

Let v1, v2, w be three linearly independent vectors in r 3 . that is, they do not all lie on the same plane. for each of the following (infinite) set of vectors, carefully sketch it in r 3 , and determine whether or not it is a vector space (i. e., a subspace of r 3 ). explain your reasoning

Glass is transparent to visibile light under normal conditions; however, at extremely high intensities, glass will absorb most of the light incident upon it. this works through a process known as multiphoton absorption. in this process, several photons are absorbed at the same time. if very intense light whose photons carry 2ev of energy is shined onto a material with a band gap of 4ev, that light can be absorbed through two-photon absorption, because two photons have the right amount of energy to bridge the band gap. what is the minimum number of photons of 800-nm light that are needed to equal or exceed the band gap of fused silica glass
