Predict the velocity vy when y = -3.5 meters. Use the average acceleration you calculated in Activity 1. Use the formula v2 = v02 + 2ay, where v = final velocity, v0 = initial velocity, a = average acceleration, and y = y displacement. (Note that v is the final velocity in the y direction: vy.)
