A toroidal solenoid with mean radius r and cross sectional area A is wound uniformly with N1 turns. A second toroidal solenoid with N2 turns is wound uniformly on top of the first, so that the two solenoids have the same cross-sectional area and mean radius. What is the mutual inductance of the two solenoids? Assume that the magnetic field of the first solenoid is uniform across the cross section of the two solenoids. Express your answer in terms of the variables N1, N2, A, r, magnetic constant u0 and other appropriate constants. If N1 = 550 turns, N2 = 260 turns, r = 10.8cm and A = 0.68cm^2, what is the value of the mutual inductance? Express your answer to three significant figures and include the appropriate units.

If a rock is thrown upward on the planet mars with a velocity of 12 m/s, its height (in meters) after t seconds is given by h = 12t − 1.86t2. (a) find the velocity of the rock after two seconds. m/s (b) find the velocity of the rock when t = a. 12−3.72a m/s (c) when will the rock hit the surface? (round your answer to one decimal place.) t = s (d) with what velocity will the rock hit the surface? m/s
