The student realized that so many different people with different jobs are making efforts to prevent and limit pollution in order to protect our environment. Even farmers are finding ways to do this. The table below shows land use for different crops and the yield of each crop for a typical farmer.
Crop Yield (bushels/acre)
Soy beans 150
Sweet Potatoes 320
Wheat50
Corn 155
The data in the graph shows the amount of water needed to grow four different crops, each used to produce ethanol, a fuel. For each crop, the data shows how many liters of water are needed to produce one liter of ethanol fuel.
A farmer wishing to have the smallest impact on the environment might choose to grow a crop that would use the least amount of land. Based on the table, which of the following crop yields should the farmer choose?
100 bushels of wheat
160 bushels of sweet potatoes
300 bushels of soy beans
310 bushels of corn

Two masses are connected by a rope that hangs over a pulley as shown below. the pulley is a uniform cylinder of radius 푅=0.381meters and mass 푀=3.1푘푔. initially 푚"is on the ground and 푚#rests 2.5 meters above the ground. if the system is released, use conservation of energy to determine the speed of 푚#just before it strikes the ground. assume the pulley bearing is frictionless.

Awelder using a tank of volume 7.50×10^-2 m^3 fills it with oxygen (with a molar mass of 32.0 g/mol ) at a gauge pressure of 3.30×10^5 pa and temperature of 37.1 ∘c. the tank has a small leak, and in time some of the oxygen leaks out. on a day when the temperature is 23.1 ∘c, the gauge pressure of the oxygen in the tank is 2.00×10^5 pa . a) find the initial mass of oxygen. b) find the mass of oxygen that has leaked out.
