Imagine that in the lab, we would construct a tube to release the magnet from one meter in height, such that the magnet would pass directly though one of the coils. The velocity of the of the magnet can be assumed constant for the duration of passing through the coil for now, even thought the coils have a length of 5cm, 10cm and 20 cm, respectively. What is the approximate Δt that it takes for the magnet to pass through the coils using the speed calculated from the free fall equation (you can estimate this time as ∆t ≅ v , where the is the length of each coil respectively) Hint: possible equations, knowing the height and the acceleration, kinematics equation

Two 1.20-m nonconducting wires meet at a right angle. one segment carries + 2.50 µc of charge distributed uniformly along its length, and the other carries - 2.50 µc distributed uniformly along it, as shown in fig. 21.50. ( a. find the magnitude and direction of the electric field these wires produce at point p, which is 60.0 cm from each wire. ( b. if an electron is released at p, what are the magnitude and direction of the net force that these wires exert on it?
