If the moving car hits the parking car and that makes the parked car to move, at this state the energy is transferred from the moving car to the parked car.If you are pushing a book across the table, then the energy from your moving arm is transferred from your body to the book and that causes book to move.The another example for conservation of energy is A dog is running towards the tree and it gets hit to it. In this case the energy is transferred from moving dog to the tree, and causes the tree to move.
