Cordelia researched Ernest Rutherford's experiments. Read her summary below and find the error.

Rutherford's experiment showed the positively charged particles were only deflected by a small percentage of the atoms. If the positive charge in the atom was spread throughout the atom, this could not happen. This meant that the atom must be composed mostly of solid positive particles. (2 points)
Error is in sentence 1. Experiments showed that only a few atoms deflected negatively charged particles.
Error is in sentence 2. If the neutral charge was spread through the atom, this could not happen.
Error is in sentence 3. The atom must be composed mostly of empty space.
Error is in sentence 1. Positively charged particles were deflected by a high percentage of atoms.

The starship enterprise is caught in a time warp and spock is forced to use the primitive techniques of the 20th century to determine the specific heat capacity of an unknown mineral. the 125-g sample was heated to 96.3°c and placed into a calorimeter containing 85.9 g of water at 20.0°c. the heat capacity of the calorimeter was 14.2 j/k. the final temperature in the calorimeter was 24.5°c. what is the specific heat capacity (in j/g°c) of the mineral? enter to 4 decimal places.
