What type of spectra would you expect to see it you observed a glowing field of hot, dense lava from the surface of the earth? what if you observed the same field of hot, dense lava from a satellite orbiting outside the earth's atmosphere? would the spectrum you see be the same or different from what you observed on the surface? why or why not?
