The time taken by the car to get to the other side of an intersection is, t = 4.9 s

The initial velocity of the car, u = 0

The distance traveled, s = 30 m

Using the II equations of motion,

                    S = ut + ½ at²

Therefore,

                    t = √(2S/a)                    ( since u = 0)

Substituting the values

                     t = √(2 x 30 / 2.5)

                       = 4.9 s

Hence, the time taken by the car to get to the other side of an intersection is, t = 4.9 s
