Aright-hand elliptically polarized plane wave with a frequency of 1 ghz is propagating in the positive z-direction in free space.

(a) if at any plane z=constant, the ratio of the maximum to minimum value of the electric field intensity is 3 and the maximum value of the electric field intensity is 1 v/m, find the time-average poynting vector (average power density) of the wave.

(b) if this plane wave is reflected by the surface of a half-space occupied by a homogeneous, isotropic, and non-magnetic (μ = μo) material whose permittivity is denoted by ε, find the angle of incidence in terms off at which the reflected plane wave becomes linearly polarized.
