dave and kirk are learning about electromagnetic waves in class. dave says that gamma rays are the most dangerous because they come from outer space. kirk disagrees. kirk says that gamma rays are not as dangerous as ultraviolet waves since they cause sunburn. who is right and why?
question 12 options:

neither are right because x-rays have radiation and are the most dangerous. that is why you have to wear a lead vest when you get dental x-rays.

dave is partly right in his answer that gamma rays are the most dangerous, but it is because of their frequency and wavelength, not where they come from.

neither are right. microwaves are the most dangerous because they have the longest wavelength and the biggest frequency. microwave kill all living things.

kirk is right. ultraviolet waves cause sunburn and that can be very dangerous. too much sun can cause skin cancer.

Agas contained within a piston-cylinder assembly undergoes three processes in series: process 12: compression with pv= constant from 1 bar and 1 liter to 4 bar. process 23: constant pressure expansion to 1 liter. process 31: constant volume calculate the pressure and volume at each state, and sketch the processes on a p-vdiagram labeled with pressure and volume values at each numbered stat

4r-134a enters the condenser of a residential heat pump at 800 kpa and 50°c at a rate of 0.022 kg/s and leaves at 750 kpa subcooled by 3°c. the refrigerant enters the compressor at 200 kpa superheated by 4°c determine (a) the isentropic efficiency of the compressor, (b) the rate of heat supplied to the heated room, and (c) the cop of the heat pump. also, determine (d) the cop and rate of heat supplied to the heated room if this heat pump operated on the ideal vapor-compression cycle between the pressure limits of 200 and 800 kpa.
