either directly proprtional or inversely
directly means x/y=k where k stays the same
therefor if x goes up  then y goes upp, if x decreases, then y decreases

inversely=xy=k
when x goes up y goes down, if x decreases then y increases

one example for each
directly would be rate
machine makes 450 toys in 4 hour
how many toys mad in 7 hours
we know that when hours goe up, then toys go up so it's poropetional

bob needs to earn 100 dollars per day
his pay rate changes so he works differen hours each day
