This equation is for linear equations. You have to give x a number. The number you should always do is 0. If x = 0, the equation would be y=4. If x=1, You would get -8 + y = 4. Then you could add 8 to both sides to get y = 12. You need at least 2 numbers for a linear equations, but my teacher wants me to do s numbers for x.
