Write a paragraph discussing a real-world application of the coordinate plane

Once, in early times, fighting among the different interpretations of math took place, and there were two sides, algebra and geometry. Those who sided with algebra always used equations to solve mathematical problems, while those who sided with geometry made use of the graphs. This was how the time seemed to go, however one man wouldn't have it! To him, both algebra AND geometry are both different sides of the same coin.

He was right. Without an equation, there would be no graph, and without a graph, there would be no equation. He knew with all of his mind, that the ways of the universe could be represented in two EQUALLY IMPORTANT ways... through algebra, which again, is equations, and through geometry, which AGAIN, is graphs.

The coordinate plane eventually became the key to showing algebraic data collected from science experiments in a way in which humans could picture it. Without this understanding of mathematics, most technologies mankind has today wouldn't exist. Never again do I wish to hear somebody try to say that math is useless.
