Does the function y=4^-2x represent exponential growth or decay

Refresh if you see errors.this is exponential decay.======exponent properties:     and  ======so we have    using exponent property , we separate the negative    then we use exponent property     we see that  .the multiplier of 1/4  is between 0 and 1.  repeatedly multiplying a number by a number between 0 and 1 makes the number smaller.  this is exponential decay. as x gets bigger, the value of the function decreases exponentially.
