How to solve 5x - 3 = 27

5x-3=27 is a very simple equation to solve. Remember this whenever you solve algebra equations. In order to find x, you have to single it out so it looks like x = whatever. Here we have 5x-3=27 so we have to get rid of the minus 3 and the 5 in front of the x. Whenever you solve algebra equations, at least simple ones like this one, you start with addition or subtraction. In this one, we get rid of the 3 first, (this is important), in algebra you can add, subract, multiply and divide the equation, though when you do this, you have to do this on both sides of the equation.
