Can perform long division to figure out.you can also get the answer by substituting the number that makes the divisor=0. in this case, 2x - 1 = 0 when x = 1/2. if you substituted x=1/2 into the polynomial, you get  6(0.5)^2 + 11(0.5) - 3 = 4.
