Each book has
1/2 page for each letter of the alphabet = (1/2)*26 = 13 pages
A title page = (1/2)*1 = 1/2 page
An end page = (1/2)*1 = 1/2 page

Total pages per book = 13 + 1/2 + 1/2 = 14 pages.
There are 70 students, therefore the number of pages needed is
14*70 =  980 pages

The number of reams of paper required is
980/500 = 1.96 ≈ 2 reams
