One serving of pancake is x dollars and fruit cup is y dollars

(2x+y) * $1.15 = $11.50
y is $1.50
thus,

(2x+1.50) * 1.15 = 11.50

2x+1.50 = 11.50/1.15
2x+1.50 = 10
2x = 8.50
x= $4.25

therefore the cost of one serving of pancakes is $4.25
