You can use a double number line to help you find ate and
unitate Start with the ratio you know: 53 for 6 pounds
Divide both 53 and 6 pounds by 3 to get 1 for 2 pounds
Then divide 51 and 2 pounds by 2 to find the cost per
pound, which is so. So for 1 pound.

pound directly
