Assume that the population distributions of ages (in years) of students at two different universities in Michigan are normal with equal variances. Two random samples, drawn independently from the populations, showed the following statistics.

n2=9, ¯x2=24x¯2=24, s22=9
Required:
a. Tell the difference in average ages of students at both universities is significant at the α=0.01 level.
b. Construct 95% confidence interval for the difference in average ages of students at both universities.
