Richard and Elizabeth both bought a used car on the same day. Richard's used car has 3,896 miles on already, and she drives 238 miles per month. Elizabeth's car has 5,345 miles on already, and she drives 187 miles per month. After how many days will each car have the same number of miles on it?

Part 1:
What two equations represent this system of equations?

Part 2:
How many months will it take for both Richard and Elizabeth's cars to have the same number of miles? Graph the system of equations using Desmos or your graphing calculator to determine the solution.

Hint: Since Desmos does not deal with large numbers, you will need to write them in terms of thousands. For example, 3,256 would be written as 3.256 and 678 would be written as 0.678. You do not need to convert back for the answer.

Part 3:
How many miles will each car have on it, rounded to the nearest mile, after the number of months indicated in Part 2?

Anull hypothesis states that the difference between 8 hours of sleep and 3 hours of sleep has no effect on the number of pictures a student will remember during a picture memory interface test (pmit). examining the mit database, an extremely small t-value of 0.1611 is found. this t-value is much smaller than the smallest t-value on the chart for p-value reference. from this information we can: select one: a. accept the null hypothesis because the p-value obtained shows that the difference between the two groups being tested is not statistically significant b. accept the null hypothesis because the p-value obtained was statistically significant c. reject the null hypothesis because of the p-value obtained d. reject the null hypothesis because the data obtained is statistically significant
