Cargain and Connor (1994) examined the foraging behavior of a parasitoid wasp, Closterocerus tricintus, that attacks the leaf-mining moth Cameraria hamadryadella. They sampled seven white oak trees and determined the average density of leaf-mines caused by C. hamadryadella on randomly chosen leaves for each tree. They also recorded the average density of leaf-mines on leaves which they observed C. tricinctus to visit on each tree. Test the hypothesis that C. tricinctus chooses to visit leaves with leaf-mine densities that are higher than the average density of leaf-mines on these trees. State your null and alternative hypothesis, perform and report the details of the test and interpret the results. Trying to figure out how to run this in R, the data is here:
