Cutting Clay 1 Information: Daniel buys a block of clay shaped like a cube with edges that are 10 inches long to use in his art class. He decides to cut the clay into two pieces. He places a wire across the diagonal of one of the faces of the cube, as shown in the figure. Then he pulls the wire straight back to create two congruent chunks of clay. 10 in. Daniel wants to keep one chunk of the clay for later use so he places a sheet of plastic on the surface that he cut. What was the shape of the area he covered and, to the nearest whole square inch, what was its size? Can somone help me understand what Im supposed to do and what steps to take?
