Case Study CRC often enters a group of nursing home buildings in a particular area and thus must hire several Nurse Practitioners (NP) to adequately staff these buildings. Given the below criteria, please come up with a staffing recommendation.
Staffing Criteria
● Med A patients should be seen 2-3x / week, and Med B 1x / week
● A given Med A patient can only be seen every other day (so MWF, or TuThu, for example)
● Round-trip commute of each NP should be no more than 60 minutes, ideally
● Each NP can see an average of around 20 patients / day (minimum is 15 and maximum is 30)
● All Med A or all Med B patients do not need to be seen on the same day
● Only weekdays are worked
● NP can visit up to 2 homes on a given day
● Once assigned, NPs do not jump around from their facilities to other NP facilities
● NP cannot be assigned to more than 2 facilities
