5. Ropes are attached to the top of a totem pole and are used to pull it upright. The ropes are anchored on level ground on either side of the pole. The rope on the left of the totem pole is 18m long and forms an angle of 50°
with the ground. The rope on the right of the pole forms an angle of 55° to the ground.
a) How tall is the totens pole? [2 marks]
b) How far apart on the ground are the two ropes attached? [4 marks]
