line.
1. With the point of the compass on K, construct arcs with the
same radius on the line, one to the right of K and the other to
the left. Label these points J and L.
2. Place the point of the compass on point J, open the width of the
compass past point K, and mark an arc above the line.
3. Adjust the compass width, center it at point L, and mark an arc
above the line.
4. Draw a line through K and the intersection of the arcs above the
line.
