In recent years, the prosperity within South Korea has resulted in heavy investment by the South Koreans in other countries around the world. Figure 1 is a sketch showing the
amount of mone invested in Europe during 2010’s. In 2010, 2014 and 2017 the amounts
invested were $0.6, $2.1 and $6.25 billion, respectively. Using these three data points,
determine the quadratic estimating function I (t) , where I equals the South Korean
investment (in billion dollars) and t equals time measured in years since 2010. Using this
function, estimate the expected investment in the year 1995.
