So the equation is y=mx + b

-2 is your b meaning that it is your y intercept so you can plot it on the y axis (0,-2)

Then your slope is 5. Since your slope is positive, in order to go to the left side you can change both the denominator and numerator into negatives. So 5/1 = -5/-1

Slope = rise/run

So each time you go down 5, you go to the left once. So if you go to -4, then you will have to go down 4 times as well so 4 x 5 = 20, so you go down 20 points. You are already at (0,-2) so if you go down 20 points then you are at (-4,-22)
