Help, dont know the answer and confused. Explain!!!

so this is asking how far away point a is from point b. if you know rise over run, you just need to go square by square and figure out the distance. it should be 1/6, and you would just need to turn it into a decimal and round if i am correct.

if that didn't explain it well, rise over run is used for plot point work like this. like if you were trying to figure out the decimal point for a plot point on a graph, you would "run" to either the left or right, then "rise" (i know rise means go up but it also works for when you go down). i don't know if this needs more clarification but i hope it helped !!
